What does medaform mean?medaform is a condensed spelling of media forum (me-d-a-for-m).
How are links chosen for the main page?Links are randomly selected with a probability relative to their score. One way to think of it is like a raffle system. Each link is assigned a number of raffle tickets based on their score and when they were submitted. Whenever a request for the main page is made, several tickets are randomly selected and their corresponding links are displayed. Naturally, the more tickets a link has, the higher its chances of being chosen are.
This selection method allows for a wider variety of links to make it to the main page and gives the user a constantly changing portal to the internet. The current algorithm is still being tweaked to provide a better user experience.
